Costume and set design for a theatre production set in a fictional Romanian village, centred around resistance within a repressive society.

I researched traditional Romanian clothing and references to develop the costume and set direction. Earth tones and natural textures represented rigidity and tradition, while red was used as a symbol of rupture and liberation.
